Subject : Grant of dependent pension in respect of Commissioned Officer & 2nd Life Award in respect of   PBORs- Dispensing with the requirement of an Affidavit.

Sir,

     I am directed to refer to this Ministry's letter of even number dated 21.01.2004 on the above mentioned subject and to say that the instructions contained in the above mentioned letter of even number dated 21.01.2004 i.e., the date of issue of letter of even number dated 21.01.2004 and shall apply on all cases pending finalization on that date. Past cases already decided need not be reopened.

2.    This issues with the concrrence of Ministry of Defence (Fin/Pens) vide their U.O. No. 3418/FP dated 19.08.2004.
